VETMEDIN programs

Helping dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF) live longer, healthier lives is a top priority for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. That's why we support canine cardiology research and offer several programs to help veterinarians educate pet owners about the diagnosis and treatment of canine heart disease.

Mobile Dog Heart Health Tour

The VETMEDIN Mobile Dog Heart Health Tour travels to pet events and veterinary clinics throughout the country. As part of the tour, veterinarians provide free dog heart health screenings in a soundproof mobile medical unit and teach dog owners about canine CHF in a fun environment.

Million Heart Challenge

Through the VETMEDIN Million Heart Challenge, veterinary professionals and their patients can help us raise awareness of canine heart disease and support independent cardiology research through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) to help dogs with heart disease.

Participation is easy and free — all it takes to help make a difference is a few clicks online to spread the word about canine CHF and how available treatment options can help affected dogs. In addition, participating veterinary professionals will have a chance to enter vacation sweepstakes.

Quest for Life

Dog owners are not always aware of the signs of CHF or the treatment options available to give their pet a chance to live a longer, more enjoyable life. The Quest for Life program was developed to help veterinarians communicate the treatment benefits of VETMEDIN to owners of dogs with CHF.

For example, the Quest for Life—Treat 3 and See program encourages veterinarians to enroll 3 dogs with CHF in a 3-week VETMEDIN treatment trial. Participating dogs can see an improvement in clinical signs and participating clinics can earn rewards, too.

The Quest for Life — Take Heart from the Start program helps clinics communicate the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of dogs with CHF. By joining this program, veterinary clinics can gain access to customizable materials to help bring pet owners into the office for assessment. And clinics will be eligible for rewards too.

Participating clinicians earn Amazon or iTunes credits or request donations to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. For complete program information, talk to your Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. territory manager.

CE Meetings Program

The CE Meetings Program is under way. This series of meetings features 2 speakers from the cardiology specialty. Bolster your knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of canine heart disease, including heart failure, by signing up now.
